What is Impetigo?

Impetigo is a contagious skin infection that mainly affects children but can occur at any age. It usually causes red sores or blisters, often around the nose and mouth, which can burst and form a yellowish crust. It spreads easily through close contact but can be treated with antibiotic creams or tablets.
